Oh no! Sul mio blog dedicato alla musica folk non sono ancora comparse le cornamuse.... Riparo subito proponendo il meglio del meglio, "Johnny Cope/The Athol Highlanders" dei Tannahill Weavers. Uno dei primi gruppi di folk revival scozzese, il cui album di esordio data 1976 e dopo 35 anni vale ancora la pena di essere ascoltato ed apprezzato.
Il brano del video è stato inciso invece sul loro "IV" ed è un classico che, per chi come me ha avuto la fortuna di ascoltarlo dal vivo, fa da chiusura esplosiva ai loro concerti.

Thus I will now propose the best possible Scottish music experience, "Johnny Cope / The Athol Highlanders" by The Tannahill Weavers. One of the first groups of Scottish contemporary folk, whose debut album was released on 1976 and 35 years after is still worth to be heard and appreciated.
The song in this video video was recorded instead on their "IV" and is a true classic. For those who, like me, had the good fortune to listen to them live, it is the explosive final of their concerts.
